C6997ASB Assembled Sensitive Alpha, Beta and Gamma Geiger Counter

This is the fully assembled and tested Sensitive Alpha, Beta and Gamma Geiger Counter (no soldering required). No case available. This miniature geiger counter kit measures alpha, beta and gamma radiation using a very sensitive mica window GM tube (Type 6107). The 6107 GM tube was made for the US Navy during the Cold War and is precision made. The window at the end of the tube is 0.3" in diameter and the tube is about 2.7" long. The tube is mounted on its own circuit board and heat shrink tubing is used to cover the main body of the tube. The tube is connected to the main board by a 3ft cable so you can precisely pinpoint sources of radiation or scan items for radioactive contamination. Each time a radioactive ray is detected a bright red flash of light and a click is produced. Sorry, no case available. This geiger counter operates from one 9V battery (included).
